Field Trips to LEDI
An immersive, 3-4 hour educational experience in Jersey City for Grades 5-12
The LEDI field trip is a 3-4 hour educational experience based in Jersey City led by trained LEDI facilitators. The field trip is FREE and transportation is reimbursed! The program is aligned to state standards in social studies, art and ELA. The program provides an interactive, multi-modal learning experience, incorporating reading, writing, art, movement, videos, and discussions to engage students of all learning styles.
While the curriculum centers on Holocaust narratives, it explores the broader roots of hatred and oppression, emphasizing how these forces can impact any group. Through historical analysis and personal reflection, students develop empathy, creative expression, and fortitude—empowering them to apply these lessons to their own lives and communities to inspire positive change.
